Global Consultant, Lifesciences

Role Overview Putnam are seeking an experienced strategy consultant with existing life sciences experience and, where possible, deep domain expertise . Roles are practice-specific , hired directly into defined Putnam practices to build sustained capability and impact. The Global Consultant will be fully dedicated to the end-to-end project lifecycle , providing continuity and hands-on delivery support to accelerate adoption within Putnam teams. This role is critical to providing deep domain expertise within their practice , increasing value creation for clients and teams.

Key Responsibilities

Work in teams to solve complex business problems for clients. Gather and analyze information, formulate and test hypotheses, and develop recommendations. Communicate findings and recommendations to client teams and senior stakeholders. Support implementation of recommendations and work with client teams to achieve impact. Collaborate effectively with colleagues across teams and geographies. Key Requirements Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and think creatively Strong analytical and quantitative skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Proven leadership skills and a strong sense of initiative Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work effectively with people at all levels of an organization Outstanding record of academic achievement Ability to manage multiple tasks and workstreams effectively Comfort working in a fast-paced, demanding, and ambiguous environment Professional maturity, integrity, and a strong work ethic Strong interest in, or experience with, life sciences and healthcare markets (biopharma, medtech, diagnostics, or health services) Familiarity with topics such as product strategy, portfolio prioritisation, market access, commercial excellence, or growth strategy is a plus Ability to rapidly build domain knowledge and apply strategy frameworks to highly technical client contexts

Role-specific requirements

5+ years of relevant life science consulting or strategy experience. Hands-on, execution-oriented approach with comfort working directly in data, analyses, and models.
