Role Description We're looking for a technically sharp, highly organized Sr IT Engineer to join our team and take ownership of the infrastructure that keeps our business running. In this role, you'll lead network architecture and facility build-outs, drive IT compliance initiatives, and manage cross-functional projects from scoping through delivery. This is a high-impact, highly visible position — ideal for someone who thrives on building things the right way, enforcing standards that matter, and delivering complex technical projects on time in a fast-paced, growing environment.

Responsibilities

Networking & Infrastructure Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure across multiple sites — including switching, routing, firewalls, VLANs, and wireless systems. Monitor network performance and availability, conducting root cause analysis and implementing long-term solutions to reliability issues. Manage and troubleshoot core network services including DNS, DHCP, VPN, and SD-WAN. Partner with cloud platform teams to ensure seamless integration between on-prem and cloud environments (Azure, AWS). Facility Build-Outs Lead end-to-end IT build-outs for new offices and facilities — from initial site assessment and design through cabling, rack installation, equipment staging, and go-live. Coordinate structured cabling, MDF/IDF room builds, and A/V system deployments for conference rooms and collaboration spaces. Manage vendor relationships and contractor work on-site, ensuring build quality meets technical and compliance standards. Maintain accurate as-built documentation, network diagrams, and equipment inventories for all facilities. IT Compliance & Security Own and execute IT compliance audits aligned to established frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, or similar), identifying gaps and driving remediation. Ensure IAM, SSO, and MDM systems are configured and enforced in accordance with security policies and regulatory requirements. Develop and maintain IT policies, controls documentation, and evidence packages to support audits and security reviews. Partner with the security team to investigate incidents, enforce protocols, and deliver compliance training to staff. Project Management Scope, plan, and drive IT infrastructure projects — maintaining timelines, budgets, stakeholder communication, and delivery accountability. Coordinate across internal teams and external vendors to manage dependencies and ensure on-time execution. Maintain clear documentation for all active projects, including status reporting, risk tracking, and post-implementation reviews. Act as the IT point of contact for facilities, operations, and leadership on infrastructure initiatives.

Required Skills 5+ years of hands-on IT experience with a focus on networking, infrastructure, and/or enterprise IT in a fast-growing environment. Demonstrated experience designing and deploying enterprise network infrastructure (switching, routing, firewalls, wireless). Proven track record managing IT build-outs for new facilities, including vendor and contractor coordination. Hands-on experience with IT compliance audits and familiarity with frameworks such as SOC2, ISO 27001, or NIST. Strong project management skills — able to independently scope, plan, and deliver multi-workstream IT initiatives. Experience administering IAM, SSO, and MDM platforms with a security-first mindset. Solid command of core IT protocols: DNS, DHCP, BGP/OSPF, VLANs, and email authentication standards. Excellent communication skills — comfortable presenting to stakeholders, managing vendors, and documenting technical work clearly. Comfortable working onsite the majority of the week and available for off-hours work during cutovers or critical builds.

Bonus Skills Certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, PMP, CompTIA Security+, or CISA Familiarity with cloud networking in Azure or AWS environments Experience supporting SOC2 Type 2 audits or similar third-party compliance assessments Background in structured cabling standards (TIA-568, BICSI) and low-voltage systems
