Who you are
Metropolis is seeking a high-velocity Regional Manager to lead our Michigan operations. This is a critical leadership role overseeing a diverse portfolio that includes our flagship commercial assets and five essential airport parking and transportation hubs for Michigan State. You will be the bridge between our cutting-edge technology and the real-world operational excellence that defines the "Recognition Economy."
What you'll do
- Lead and scale operations for a complex portfolio, including high-traffic Michigan state airport transportation and commercial assets
- Own the regional P&L; develop regional budgets, reforecast as needed, and drive profitability through both cost management and revenue growth
- Act as the primary executive contact for Michigan state and commercial clients
- Proactively address needs, manage contract compliance, and ensure 100% client retention
- Drive growth by identifying new commercial opportunities in the Michigan market, managing the full sales cycle from lead generation to onboarding
- Ensure all sites meet the "Metropolis Standard"—seamless, tech-enabled, and safe
- Oversee a team of managers, fostering a culture of ownership and high performance
What we're looking for
- 7+ years in high-stakes operations management (Parking, Logistics, Transportation, or Hospitality)
- Ability to align people and purpose to drive measurable results
- Strong financial acumen; ability to translate complex data into actionable operational shifts
- Passion for the intersection of technology and real estate
- Ability to operationalize strategy into performance
- Ability to maintain high levels of client satisfaction while managing high-pressure logistics
- Comfortable with AI-driven operations and computer vision technology
- Must possess a valid state-issued driver's license with a current address and acceptable driving record
While not required, these are a plus
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field
- MBA or advanced leadership training
- Experience with airport operations or large-scale institutional contracts (like Universities)
