The Manager, Professional Services – Travel Systems is responsible for leading a team of consultants who activate, configure, and optimize Emburse solutions for travel-focused clients. This role combines deep travel industry expertise (GDS, PNR logic, API integrations, TMC workflows) with strong people leadership and operational management. This leader will drive strategic execution of travel implementations, ensure alignment with customer travel policies and system integrations, and oversee delivery excellence across booking, rebooking, and data exchange configurations. The role partners closely with Product, Engineering, and Customer teams to ensure high-quality deployments and continuous process improvement.

What you will do

Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Professional Services Consultants and Specialists, including hiring, performance management, and career development. Define departmental goals aligned with company strategy and drive execution through key performance metrics and operational reporting. Forecast and allocate resources to meet project delivery and business demands effectively. Foster a culture of customer excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement within the Professional Services team. Provide strategic oversight of travel software implementations, including GDS integrations (Sabre, Amadeus, Travelport), PNR logic, and TMC workflow optimization. Ensure travel configuration and data integrations align with corporate travel policies, customer requirements, and downstream systems. Serve as senior escalation point for complex travel system and integration issues, guiding consultants in troubleshooting and resolution. Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, Sales, and Customer Success to enhance solutions, resolve issues, and influence the product roadmap. Partner with executive leadership to advance departmental strategy, process improvements, and customer relationship growth.

What you will bring

Education

Bachelor’s degree, college diploma, or equivalent professional experience.

Leadership

4+ years leading direct reports with a focus on coaching, development, and constructive feedback.

Project Management

4+ years of PM experience within a fast-paced technology or software implementation environment.

Industry Expertise

3+ years of hands-on experience with Emburse products or equivalent enterprise platforms.

GDS Mastery

Advanced knowledge of Sabre, Amadeus, and Travelport (Apollo, Galileo, Worldspan).

Technical Travel Logic

Deep understanding of PNR structure , ticketing, exchanges, TMC logic, and booking/rebooking workflows.

System Integrations

Experience aligning travel booking data for API integrations and familiarity with platforms like Magna Tech .

Financial Acumen

Strong knowledge of accounting systems, financial terminology, and CRM/database-driven workflow tools.

Strategic Oversight

Ability to manage configurations that enforce corporate travel policies and optimize client savings.

Analytical Skills

Strong ability to interpret team performance data and complex system-level travel data.

Communication

Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and virtual presentation skills for a customer-facing environment.
