Job Summary of the Sr. Finance Business Partner The Sr. Finance Business Partner partners closely with FP&A, BI, and sales leadership to deliver strategic financial insight, performance analytics, and actionable recommendations that inform brand strategy, campaign effectiveness, sales strategy and commercial planning. Requirements of the Sr. Finance Business Partner Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience in FP&A, business analytics, strategic finance, or commercial finance, preferably supporting Commercial, Sales, or Marketing organizations. Strong experience in sales performance analytics, including quota attainment and incentive compensation analysis, with advanced proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and data visualization tools (Power BI strongly preferred). Proven ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders, supported by strong communication, executive presence, and stakeholder management skills. Responsibilities of the Sr. Finance Business Partner
The specific duties of the Sr. Finance Business Partner include but are not limited to
Partner with department leadership, FP&A, and BI teams to develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and long‑range plans aligned with strategic objectives. Deliver actionable insights through financial modeling, valuation analysis, ROI assessment, and performance dashboards. Partner with FP&A on monthly and quarterly business reviews and variance analyses, translating results into strategic recommendations for senior leadership. Prepare and maintain executive‑level KPIs and performance metrics, ensuring alignment to business drivers and consistency across reporting. Collaborate cross‑functionally with Commercial Operations, FP&A, and BI Analysts to align on KPIs, assumptions, and data definitions. Develop and maintain spend tracking and analytical tools, ensuring compliance with financial policies, governance, and internal controls. Identify and drive opportunities for process improvement, standardization, and automation across financial and analytical workflows. Provide ad hoc analysis and decision support for leadership, strategic initiatives, and evolving business needs.
Sales Support Responsibilities
Serve as the primary finance and analytics partner to Sales Leadership, providing territory‑, region‑, and rep‑level insights on quota attainment, growth, and performance vs. plan. Support sales quota and incentive compensation programs, including plan analysis, commission calculations, true‑ups, variance analysis, and evaluation of attainment and payout distributions. Partner with FP&A on monthly and quarterly business reviews, translating sales performance into financial implications and executive‑ready insights for Sales Leadership, the CFO, and Executive Team. Drive territory‑level analytics (mix, productivity, coverage, and trends) to support territory design, go‑to‑market strategy, and alignment across territory structure, quotas, and performance measurement. Develop and maintain sales performance dashboards and KPIs in partnership with BI, ensuring consistent definitions, data integrity, and adherence to financial controls. Identify opportunities to automate and improve sales reporting, commission workflows, and analytical processes, partnering with BI and IT to enhance scalability and efficiency.
