Senior Business Analyst Translate complex systems into scalable solutions. Black Duck is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to drive clarity and execution across our Salesforce platform, with a strong focus on Post‑Sale systems and lifecycle processes. This role is deeply embedded in technical delivery -- partnering with Product Owners, engineers, QA, and DevOps to ensure business requirements are translated into precise, build‑ready artifacts that scale. You will operate as a systems‑oriented analyst who understands how Salesforce configurations, integrations, and workflows support post‑sale operations. This role is ideal for someone who is equally comfortable working through process flows and drilling into Jira tickets, user stories, and release planning in an Agile environment. How You’ll Contribute Act as the Salesforce Business Analyst for Post‑Sale initiatives, with deep understanding of end‑to‑end lifecycle flows (e.g., entitlement, renewals, support, operations) Decompose business requirements into clear, testable user stories and acceptance criteria in Jira, following Agile best practices Partner closely with Product Owners to refine scope, prioritize backlog items, and ensure stories are development‑ready Facilitate backlog grooming, refinement, and development breakout sessions with engineering and QA teams Serve as the primary translation layer between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams -- resolving ambiguity and ensuring implementation clarity Convert business processes and IT functional requirements into well‑defined solution documentation and supporting artifacts Maintain system documentation, requirements libraries, and traceability for ongoing reference and auditability Collaborate with the Development Manager and DevOps Lead on sequencing, dependencies, and release planning Proactively flag risks, technical gaps, or dependency issues and communicate status transparently to stakeholders Reinforce Agile and Scrum practices, contributing to continuous improvement in delivery quality and team velocity Technical Qualifications 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or equivalent systems‑focused role Strong hands‑on experience supporting Salesforce CRM in a SaaS or high‑tech environment Solid understanding of post‑sale, customer lifecycle, and support systems Proven experience using Jira for backlog management, user story authoring, and defect tracking Demonstrated success working with Agile/Scrum delivery teams and iterative release cycles Experience performing process analysis, documenting system requirements, and recommending scalable improvements Ability to collaborate effectively with distributed, cross‑functional technical teams How You Think & Work Systems‑minded, detail‑oriented, and highly organized Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a bias toward clarity and execution Clear and precise communicator, especially when translating between technical and non‑technical audiences Comfortable managing multiple workstreams and priorities in a fast‑moving environment Collaborative by nature, but confident operating independently when needed Life at Black Duck At Black Duck, technical teams are trusted to solve meaningful problems that directly support secure software development worldwide. Compensation & Benefits The base salary range for this role across the U.S. is $91,900 – $137,900, with potential eligibility for a bonus. Black Duck offers a competitive total rewards package.
