Job Description
Building Automation Systems Apprentice Technicians work under the guidance of senior technicians to learn and assist with installation, start-up, repair, and maintenance of computer-based systems that control and monitor a building's mechanical and electrical equipment, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) and energy management systems.
Duties/Responsibilities
Assist senior technicians with BAS installations and system-level controller software loading under direct supervision Learn to perform basic system diagnostics and troubleshooting procedures Support commissioning activities by helping gather data and complete documentation Observe and assist with calibration of building automation systems using standard electronic test instruments Maintain communication with team lead regarding job progress, learning objectives, and any challenges encountered Complete assigned training modules and certifications as part of apprenticeship program Document daily activities including work performed, skills learned, and hours worked Follow all safety protocols and actively participate in safety training programs Assist with inventory management and tool maintenance Texas Chiller Systems is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to providing all employees with a work environment free of discrimination and harassment.
