Core Experience (CoreX) shapes the everyday Spotify experience for millions of listeners around the world. We focus on what users see and interact with on mobile—crafting intuitive, seamless, and engaging surfaces like Home, Your Library, Search, Now Playing, and key content pages across artists, albums, and playlists. Working at the heart of the app, we turn complexity into clarity, ensuring every interaction feels simple, fast, and unmistakably Spotify. We’re seeking a Senior Product Manager to join X-Stream, responsible for the Now Playing experiences across Spotify’s mobile apps, including the Now Playing View, Now Playing Bar and Lock Screen. This is the surface where millions of users engage with music, podcasts, audiobooks and video every day. The team builds the experiences that let us deliver rich, personalized playback experiences—combining content, controls, and context in real time.
What You'll Do
Lead product strategy for Spotify’s playback experience, shaping how listening becomes more engaging, rewarding, and valuable for users, creators, and the business Define and evolve the user experience and information architecture across playback surfaces Partner closely with engineering, design, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality experiences Drive innovation across content layers, playback modes, and contextual experiences Translate complex technical systems into clear product direction and user value Use data, experimentation, and user insights to inform decisions and continuously improve the experience Align stakeholders across multiple product areas to ensure a cohesive and scalable ecosystem Lead cross-functional initiatives end-to-end, owning scope, alignment, and delivery
Who You Are
You have 5+ years of experience in product management, ideally working on consumer-facing products You’re experienced building for mobile platforms such as iOS and Android, including complex user interfaces You understand how to build scalable systems and experiences that enable teams to move faster You’re able to balance user experience, technical constraints, and business impact You care deeply about creating intuitive, high-quality experiences at scale You’ve worked closely with engineering, design, and data partners to bring products to life You’re comfortable navigating ambiguity and bringing clarity across teams You’ve influenced stakeholders across functions and levels to drive alignment and outcome
Where You'll Be This role is based in Stockholm or London We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! There will be some in person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home. This team operates within the Central European and GMT time zone for collaboration.
