Description
Warehouse Department Manager
Location: Blauvelt, NY & Northvale, NJ
Reports to: Warehouse Manager / Operations Manager
Role Mission The Shipping & Receiving Manager is responsible for the critical "inbound and outbound" integrity of the facility. This role focuses on the high-velocity movement of Cosmetics and Health & Beauty products, ensuring that every pallet entering or leaving the dock meets strict accuracy and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
Dock Management: Oversee all inbound receiving and outbound shipping schedules, ensuring trailers are processed within strict windows to avoid detention fees.
Inventory Integrity: Lead the receiving team in meticulous SKU verification and cycle counting to maintain the "Inventory Accuracy" KPI.
Carrier Relations: Manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and local couriers to ensure "On-time delivery".
Compliance & Safety: Ensure all outbound shipments meet hazardous materials (HAZMAT) regulations common in the Fragrance/Cosmetics industry.
Team Leadership: Supervise a dedicated team of 6–10 warehouse associates, focusing on training for RF scanner systems and shipping software.
Requirements
Experience: 3–5 years of specialized experience in high-volume shipping/receiving environments.
Skills: Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and shipping platforms (e.g., FedEx Ship Manager, UPS WorldShip).
Education: College degree preferred.
