Position Summary

As an Assembler on Tovala’s food production team, you will be involved in our food preparation and packing operations. This includes portioning and packaging our food products. Additionally, you will prepare our packaging inventory and perform duties on our packing line to assemble our meals for shipping to customers.

Schedule

Monday, Wednesday through Saturday 6:00 am-4:00 pm or Monday, Tuesday, Thursday through Saturday 6:00 am-4:00 pm

How you'll spend your time at Tovala Portioning veggies, grains, spices, and sauces, into small plastic bags of corresponding containers Inspecting food products for quality Making small cardboard boxes Packing products into boxesInsulating shipping boxes Labeling finished products for shipping Maintaining a clean and safe work environment Working with the team to meet daily production goals Physical Demands Standing and/or walking up to 8+ hours per day in a cold environment (39 degrees F) Lifting, pushing, and/or pulling up to 50 pounds frequently Use of hands and fingers for fine manipulation Vision for machine operation and food handling Hearing Wear personal protective equipment for food safety Competencies Ability to follow written or verbal instructions Ability to weigh, measure, or otherwise portion food Basic arithmetic

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred Previous food or other manufacturing experience preferred
