Description

Callan is looking for a new addition to our Implementation Solutions Group. In the role of Senior Analyst, you’ll support the team in various areas, including conducting trust/custody due diligence searches, performing service and fee benchmarking studies, providing transition management support, and researching digital assets.

The Implementation Solutions Group’s primary responsibility is to offer consulting services to both retainer and non-retainer clients, solely on a project basis. The group’s consulting focus is on helping clients achieve Operational Alpha—efficiencies derived from enhanced investment structures, operational processes, and cost savings. This concept is a key component of Callan’s “Total Consulting” approach, which combines Operational Alpha and Performance Alpha. The latter refers to the judicious and skillful application of Callan’s capabilities in areas like asset allocation, policy guidelines, manager structure, performance measurement, and global manager research.

Our goal is to identify a candidate who has a genuine interest in learning about the custody and asset servicing industry, the securities lending and capital markets, the transition management industry, and conducting research in the rapidly evolving digital research landscape. Over time, we expect you to take on more responsibilities and eventually manage projects alongside other members of the Implementation Solutions Group.

Please note: This position will be based in Callan’s San Francisco headquarters location (preferred) or a regional office, working a hybrid (office/home) schedule of two to three (3) days a week in the office with flexibility to accommodate client or other in-person meetings. If the candidate is based out of a regional office, they would ideally be willing to travel to San Francisco periodically for in-person training.

What’s unique about this role? Callan believes our organization and culture are made stronger through a broad array of perspectives and experiences. Collaborating with various teams throughout the company, you will work with some of the highest-quality and most complex clients in the country to help them achieve their investment goals. Along with having an appreciation for Callan’s unique and collaborative culture, your ability to demonstrate success in the skill sets we seek is of greater importance than your years of experience.

The Implementation Solutions Group collaborates closely with various groups within Callan. Our clientele includes institutional clients such as corporate and public retirement plans, endowments and foundations, taxable trusts, nuclear decommissioning trusts, insurance assets, sovereign wealth funds, mutual fund boards, family offices, and more. As a member of the Implementation Solutions Group, you will focus on training, development, and supporting the members of the team. Additionally, you will participate in all client projects, queries, and meetings, as applicable.
