QC Manager

As Quality Control Manager Techlane, you will balance ramp‑up activities with routine QC operations, while continuously improving efficiency, developing your team, and strengthening laboratory performance. You will combine scientific expertise with people leadership to ensure robust, compliant, and future-ready QC operations in a highly regulated cGMP environment. Here’s what you’ll do

Lead, coach, and develop QC laboratory associates, including hiring and performance management Ensure appropriate training in cGMP, safety, and technical competencies Oversee QC testing activities Review and approve laboratory data, test methods, and procedures Lead and support laboratory investigations (events, deviations, invalid assays) Ensure maintenance, calibration, and qualification of laboratory equipment Drive test method verification, qualification, validation, and transfer activities Act as a subject matter expert in troubleshooting complex laboratory issues Collaborate closely with Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Engineering, MSAT, and Maintenance Manage departmental resources, budgets, and staffing plans Contribute to global QC laboratory strategies aligned with compliance and business objectives Drive continuous improvement and lead improvement projects. Who are we looking for? Education Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in a scientific or technical field, such as Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related discipline. Experience 8-10 years of relevant experience in a regulated pharmaceutical, biotech, or cell therapy environment 5+ years of proven people leadership experience Experience in aseptic manufacturing is strongly preferred Hands-on experience with quality systems and regulatory requirements Familiarity with Eudralex, ICH and 21 CFR. Languages Fluent in Dutch and English Strengths Strong leadership and people management skills Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication abilities Highly organized, proactive, and solution-oriented Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Comfortable making critical decisions with limited information Expertise EU/FDA guidance for cell-based products and cGMP regulations Chemical, biochemical, and microbiological concepts Aseptic processing in ISO 5 cleanrooms and biosafety cabinets Process excellence tools and continuous improvement methodologies What do we offer you?
