Description

WHOOP is an advanced health and fitness wearable on a mission to unlock human performance and healthspan. We empower our members to improve their health and perform at a higher level through a deeper understanding of their bodies and daily lives. As the Clinical Product Manager, you will play a foundational role in defining and scaling WHOOP’s clinical product systems. You will own the clinical logic that governs when and how biometric signals translate into clinician-enabled experiences and AI-driven health insights. Your work will sit at the intersection of Clinical, Product, Data Science, AI, and Regulatory teams, ensuring that escalation logic, signal thresholds, and AI guardrails are evidence-based, explainable, and operationally scalable.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the design and governance of clinical escalation logic, including defining biometric trigger thresholds, baseline deviation rules, trajectory detection logic, and multi-metric corroboration frameworks. Translate clinical evidence and physiological principles into product specifications, decision trees, and algorithm requirements in partnership with Data Science and Product teams. Conduct structured literature reviews and evidence synthesis to justify signal thresholds, escalation frameworks, and AI safety boundaries. Define signal confidence standards, including acceptable false positive and false negative trade-offs, and partner with Data Science to evaluate real-world performance. Establish AI clinical guardrails by defining what AI systems can and cannot communicate in health contexts, including escalation triggers, safety boundaries, and response constraints. Design and document escalation governance frameworks to ensure explainability, defensibility, and regulatory alignment. Partner with Product to shape member-facing language and escalation UX, preserving wellness positioning while ensuring clarity and trust. Collaborate with Regulatory and Quality teams to ensure clinical logic is appropriately framed within wellness and safety boundaries. Contribute to the development of SOPs, documentation frameworks, and scalable clinical product processes within WHOOP’s Digital Health organization.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Medicine, Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Public Health, or related field required.
