Housekeeping Supervisor - Moxy Hotel Hillsboro Village

Job Description

As a Housekeeping Supervisor at our vibrant Moxy Vanderbilt Hillsboro Village Hotel, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organization. You will supervise and support the housekeeping team to ensure efficient operations and exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years experience in Housekeeping
• Previous experience in a housekeeping supervisory or leadership role within the hospitality industry.
• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively.
• Knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning techniques, and use of cleaning equipment.
• Excellent organizational & communication skills to coordinate tasks and interact with guests and team members.
• Proficiency in using housekeeping management software or similar systems is a plus.

*Work Schedule: This position may require flexibility in scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate the hotel's operational needs*

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership and Supervision

Supervise and lead the housekeeping team, including room attendants and cleaners. Assign tasks, schedule shifts, and monitor performance to ensure adherence to established standards.

Operational Support

Assist in coordinating daily housekeeping operations, including room cleaning, public area maintenance, and inventory management. Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and compliance with established protocols.

Training and Development

Train new housekeeping staff on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and guest service standards. Provide ongoing coaching and support to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness.

Quality Assurance

Monitor the quality of cleaning services provided, address any deficiencies, and ensure corrective actions are taken promptly. Uphold Moxy's standards of cleanliness and organization throughout the hotel.

Guest Satisfaction

Respond promptly and effectively to guest requests, inquiries, and concerns related to housekeeping services. Foster a positive guest experience by ensuring a clean and comfortable environment.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time. Light work – exerting up to 30 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 40 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
