Description

Greenlight is the leading family fintech company on a mission to help parents raise financially smart kids. We proudly serve more than 6 million parents and kids with our award-winning banking app for families. With Greenlight, parents can automate allowance, manage chores, set flexible spend controls, and invest for their family’s future. Kids and teens learn to earn, save, spend wisely, and invest.

At Greenlight, we believe every child should have the opportunity to become financially healthy and happy. It’s no small task, and that’s why we leap out of bed every morning to come to work. Because creating a better, brighter future for the next generation depends on it.

We are looking for an Associate Data Analyst to join our Marketing Science team as a college grad hire. This role sits within Marketing Science and spans all four marketing verticals: growth marketing, CRM, registration, and website. You won’t be siloed in one area. You’ll work across the full acquisition and engagement funnel, supporting different teams as business needs shift. Registration and web data cut across all of these, so you’ll develop broad fluency quickly. This is a role for someone who is intellectually curious, hungry to learn, and ready to take real ownership from day one. We’re not looking for someone who waits for a ticket to land in their queue, we want someone who sees a gap, asks the right question, and drives it to an answer. You will be embedded in a senior team that will invest in your development, but you are expected to bring energy, initiative, and a willingness to go deep. This role reports directly to the Sr. Director of Marketing Science.

Your day-to-day

Support CRM analytics: measuring campaign effectiveness, audience segmentation, lifecycle reporting, and engagement across email, push, and in-app channels. Support paid channel performance reporting across growth marketing (Meta, Google, CTV, affiliates, OOH), tracking CAC, LTV, payback period, and funnel conversion metrics. Build and maintain dashboards in Tableau that surface growth and CRM KPIs to marketing and leadership stakeholders. Run data pulls, user list generation, and ad-hoc queries to support day-to-day marketing decisions and campaign targeting. Help maintain attribution reporting pipelines and flag data quality issues as they arise. Claude is a first-class instrument in this team’s AI toolkit. You’ll use it to write and review SQL, generate documentation, QA analytical outputs, and accelerate the operational layer of your work. Knowing how to prompt well and trust-but-verify AI output is a skill we will develop together. Partner with senior analysts on dbt model contributions and learn how business logic is encoded into scalable, reusable analytics models over time. Keep documentation current on reports, dashboards, and metric definitions so that stakeholders can self-serve confidently. Bring structure to ambiguous requests. When a stakeholder doesn’t know exactly what they need, help clarify the question before jumping to an answer.

What you’ll bring to the team

Bachelor’s degree (or anticipated graduation by Summer 2026) in Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field. Coursework, academic projects, internships, or self-directed work that demonstrates you can write SQL queries, think through data problems, and pull meaningful signal from messy data. Ability to create clear, effective data visualizations, select appropriate chart types, and communicate insights to non-technical audiences. Proactive mindset with the ability to identify opportunities, investigate anomalies, and take initiative without waiting for direction. You want to be the expert on your domain. When you own a report or a dashboard, you own it completely. You know where the data comes from, what the edge cases are, and how stakeholders use it. You treat ambiguity as a puzzle to solve, not a blocker. Marketing analytics often means working with imperfect data and undefined questions. You can explain what you found and why it matters to someone who didn’t run the analysis. Written and verbal communication are both important in this role. We want to see demonstrated AI proficiency: a project, coursework, or self-directed work where you used Claude or a similar AI tool to do something analytical: build a workflow, write and validate SQL, automate a report, or solve a real problem. Being able to talk about what you built, what worked, and what didn’t is what we’re looking for.

Preferred experience

Internship or project experience in a marketing, growth, CRM, or web analytics context. Familiarity with marketing metrics: CAC, LTV, ROAS, conversion rates, attribution models, or cohort analysis. Exposure to dbt or data modeling concepts (dimensional modeling, metric definitions, semantic layers). Python experience for data manipulation, scripting, or automation. Experience with Tableau, Looker, or another BI tool beyond coursework. Participation in data competitions, open-source projects, or self-directed analytical work that demonstrates intellectual curiosity outside the classroom.
