About Your Role The Accountant will support and contribute to the monthly close process, including preparing journal entries, performing variance (flux) analysis, completing balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting ad hoc financial analysis. This role will own specific general ledger areas and develop subject matter expertise over time, while partnering cross-functionally to ensure an accurate and timely close. This is a hybrid role based in Atlanta, with a minimum expectation of 3 days per week in office. How You’ll Make an Impact Support the monthly close process for assigned general ledger areas Prepare and post journal entries and perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations Own reconciliations across key accounts including bank accounts, AR-related balances, prepaid expenses, accrued expenses, and fixed assets Investigate reconciling items, identify root causes, and resolve issues in a timely manner Perform variance (flux) analysis and provide insights into account fluctuations Collaborate cross-functionally with Billing/AR, Payroll, Tax, and other accounting teams Support special projects and ad hoc analyses, including operational and compliance-related initiatives (e.g., sales tax or process improvement projects) Assist with post-integration general ledger accounting for acquired companies Support the annual external audit by preparing schedules, pulling supporting documentation, and responding to audit requests Contribute to process improvement initiatives and help enhance efficiency and accuracy across accounting workflows Respond to internal and external inquiries in a timely and professional manner

Who You Are

Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills Demonstrates grit, initiative, and a strong desire to learn and grow Comfortable working in a deadline-driven monthly close environment, with increased activity during the first 4–5 business days of the month Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to investigate and resolve issues independently Able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high-quality work and effective cross-functional relationships Experience You Bring Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance from an accredited college or university 1-2 years of experience in General Ledger accounting preferred; would consider recent college graduate with relevant internship experience Strong data and advanced Excel skills with strong comfort in reconciliations, analysis, and organizing financial data Not Required, But Nice to Have Experience working in an ERP or accounting system such as Sage Intacct, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar Experience supporting or participating in ERP implementations or system migrations (current environment includes Intacct with planned migration to Oracle) Prior experience working in public accounting CPA-track or active pursuit of CPA certification Interest in emerging tools or technologies (e.g., automation, AI) within accounting and finance Applicants for this position must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States (U.S.), including being located in the US.
