Senior/Staff Software Engineer, Operational Applications & Platforms

Our Ops Tools team is the central nervous system of this mission, and we’re looking for a Senior/Staff Software Engineer to be a technical leader in this critical area. This isn’t just another full-stack role. You’ll be at the intersection of web development, robotics, and real-time operations, building the software that allows us to manage and scale our fleet of autonomous robotaxis. In this role, you will

Architect & own mission-critical systems – Lead the design and development of full-stack platforms that power real-time vehicle monitoring, operational tooling, and live rider support across our autonomous fleet. Set technical direction across the stack – Act as a technical leader spanning frontend, backend, and infrastructure, driving architecture decisions that ensure scalability, reliability, and long-term maintainability. Lead through influence and mentorship – Elevate the team by guiding design discussions, providing high-quality code reviews, and mentoring engineers to raise the overall technical bar. Drive cross-functional innovation – Partner closely with product, design, and operations to identify high-impact opportunities and deliver solutions to complex, real-world challenges in autonomous mobility.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience), with 8+ years of professional software engineering experience Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, including experience building applications with Node.js, HTML, and CSS Deep understanding of modern web technologies and architecture, including performance, scalability, and maintainability considerations Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as Vue, React, or Svelte, with an eye toward building intuitive, high-quality user interfaces Proven ability to design and architect large-scale, full-stack systems, paired with strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively drive alignment and execution across cross-functional teams

Bonus Qualifications Experience with Python or C++ Experience with 3D graphics, especially in a web context. Familiarity with robotics and 3D spatial reasoning.
