Job Description

The Retail & Guest Services Associate delivers an exceptional experience for every visitor during our busy winter season. This hybrid position supports both the Gift Shop and Exhibition Front-of-House teams — greeting guests, processing sales, maintaining a welcoming environment, and helping ensure safety and fun throughout the space. You’ll handle a variety of responsibilities including ticket and retail transactions, guest assistance, exhibit monitoring, and maintaining clean, organized areas. Season: April 6, 2026 through July 5, 2026 (or later/subject to change) Schedule: Up to 29 hours per week Rate: $18/hour Job Responsibilities Greet and assist visitors with warmth, enthusiasm, and professionalism. Sell admission tickets and retail merchandise using point-of-sale (POS) systems. Handle card transactions accurately. Share information about Meow Wolf’s exhibits, events, and policies. Monitor crowds and exhibits to ensure guest and facility safety; report issues as needed. Restock merchandise, conduct inventory counts, and maintain product knowledge. Support special events or 21+ functions as needed, following proper safety and access protocols.

Essential Skills and Abilities

High school diploma or equivalent Minimum 1–3 years of customer service or retail experience 18 years of age or older Flexible schedule with ability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays Strong communication and interpersonal skills Comfortable learning and using POS systems and basic computer software Ability to remain calm and professional in fast-paced or challenging situations

Desired Characteristics and Qualities for all Team Members

Experience with Vend POS or Google Drive Bilingual or multilingual Prior experience in retail, hospitality, museum, or entertainment environments Work Environment: This job operates in an office environment as well as a museum/ art exhibit. This role routinely uses cleaning equipment such as mops, vacuums, and other cleaning tools. Employees may be required to lift up to 60lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Physical Demands: The employee is constantly exposed to chemicals and fumes. The position requires repetitive movement, and the ability to kneel, crouch, reach, and grasp. The employee will comply with company and OSHA standard workplace safety protocols. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Work Schedule

This position has an effective start date on or after 4/6/2026, with the position ending no later than 90 days from start date. This position is seasonal. We are looking for those who have flexible availability. Supervisor Responsibilities: This position does not require supervisory responsibility. Travel: Travel is not required for this position.
