Software Engineer - Perception / Fleet Mapping
Description
High-definition HD maps are foundational to enabling safe, scalable autonomous driving. We are seeking highly motivated engineers who are passionate about solving complex, real-world problems and building state-of-the-art mapping systems. In this role, you will collaborate with a diverse, cross-functional team to design and develop large-scale HD mapping algorithms, workflows, and data pipelines. Your work will directly impact our ability to efficiently map new cities and continuously update existing maps at scale, playing a critical role in accelerating our autonomous vehicle deployment.
In this role, you will
Automate large-scale mapping pipelines and workflows Contribute to scalable algorithms for map creation, validation, and maintenance Ensure system reliability and performance through testing, debugging, and continuous improvement of production systems Collaborate cross-functionally with a variety of teams working on things such as perception, planning, prediction, simulation, etc Propose tool and/or feature ideas to the team to improve processes
Qualifications
BS or MS in Computer Science or related field and 3+ years experience Proficiency in C++ and Python Experience in cloud / distributed computing and automating pipelines Experience in industry software devops workflow and tools, for example, CI / CD Experience working with 3D sensor data from cameras and/or lidars
Bonus Qualifications
Experience with mapping or geospatial data Experience with React and frontend development Experience with database design and API development
