The Role The AGV Equipment Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing automated guided vehicle (AGV) systems and related production equipment within a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role ensures equipment reliability and efficiency by performing routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and timely repairs to minimize downtime and support continuous operations. The technician monitors system performance, identifies and resolves mechanical, electrical, and automation issues, and maintains accurate maintenance and operational records. They also assist with equipment installation, alignment, and commissioning of new machinery, ensuring all work meets safety standards and operational specifications. Success in this role requires strong technical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with tools, diagnostic equipment, and data analysis systems. The technician must be adaptable to a fast-paced production environment, committed to safety and quality, and capable of supporting overall equipment longevity and performance. What You’ll Do Master the structure and working principle of factory production equipment and facilities and learn and improve their own equipment maintenance skills and level. Conduct regular and scheduled inspection of the production equipment in the factory to ensure that the equipment is in good condition and eliminate potential equipment failures. Make daily operation records and maintenance records of the equipment system in a timely manner. Ability to detect, isolate, and identify irregularities and malfunctions in machinery and equipment. Assist with aligning machines and equipment during installation, using hoists, jacks, squares, ruler, micrometers, and plumb bobs. Support in repairing any problems associated with new equipment. Follow work arrangement, timely repair the faulty equipment reported for repair, and ensure the maintenance quality. Maintain the equipment to prolong the longevity of service life and improve its utilization rate. Strictly abide by the safety operation rules, maintenance rules, and installation standards and specifications of the equipment. Perform other duties and special project, as assigned by management.
Who You Are
Technical diploma or higher (electrical or mechanical), familiarity with solar modules or semiconductors combined with relevant work experience is preferred. At least 1-2 years' experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment (with photovoltaic industry preferred). Exceptional troubleshooting skills with electrical, mechanical, and automation components preferred. Good knowledge of pneumatic systems. Ability to operate shop equipment, bench tools, hand tools, inspection and test equipment. Ability to use data analysis tools such as MS Excel and other applications. Dedicated and strive to achieve, hardworking and reliable, be able to adapt to shifts and work well under pressure.

Typical Working Conditions This position is based in a manufacturing plant environment, which may involve exposure to various manufacturing conditions. Ability to work occasional extended hours or weekends as needed. Physical Requirements Be able to lift up to 25 pounds. Be able to communicate verbally efficiently. Sedentary work. Repetitive motion. The technician is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
