Role Overview As a Software Engineering Manager at Gridware, you will lead a team of engineers building software that directly improves the reliability and resilience of the electric grid. This role blends technical leadership with people management: you’ll stay close to the code and architecture while guiding engineers toward delivering high-impact, mission-critical systems. You’ll partner closely with product, data, and business stakeholders to translate real-world infrastructure challenges into scalable, cloud-native solutions, while developing engineers into leaders who raise the bar for the entire organization.

Responsibilities

Lead, support, and grow a team of software engineers building products that help utilities detect, prevent, and respond to grid failures Establish and maintain a high technical bar through active participation in code reviews, design reviews, and architectural discussions Translate business and customer needs into clear technical direction, driving execution toward outcomes with real-world impact Champion agile best practices, ensuring teams plan effectively, deliver predictably, and continuously improve Invest deeply in people development by coaching engineers, building feedback loops, and developing future technical and people leaders
