This role is within our Marketing team and serves as the link between Marketing and Creative teams to ensure cohesive campaign execution. Defines show positioning, sets marketing objectives, and translates strategy into clear creative briefs. Oversee creative alignment with target audience and tone, manages timelines, and ensures consistency across all media platforms.
About the team
The digital marketing team is responsible for driving viewer engagement and promoting the JHS & Kannada channel's brand across multiple platforms. The team creates and executes marketing plans, such as campaigns for show launches, brand partnerships, and audience reach. They collaborate closely with the programming, creative communications, and digital marketing teams to ensure consistent messaging and maximize reach. With a focus on regional markets and audience preferences, the team creates targeted promotions, media planning with ATL and marketing activation with BTL driving micro-marketing and on-ground activation, and digital strategies that enhance the channel's visibility. Their work assures a strong brand presence and fosters audience loyalty in a competitive market
Key Responsibilities
Run the end-to-end digital life cycle of Kannada entertainment properties across Jiohotstar and broadcast-linked platforms like IG, FB, X, YouTube, WhatsApp etc. Lead calendars, copy, creatives, community management, and platform hygiene. Oversee planning and execution of digital content for shows, movies, web series, and special properties Manage onboarding of content across OTT and digital platforms Drive content readiness, metadata accuracy, and publishing workflows Conceptualize and execute digital campaigns for launches and ongoing promotions. Work closely with marketing and creative teams to deliver high-impact campaigns Lead ideation and execution of digital-first promotional assets Ensure storytelling is sharp, differentiated, and culturally relevant Coordinate with creative, marketing, PR, sales, production, content, design, and tech teams Ensure seamless alignment from content creation to distribution Oversee timely publishing across platforms Optimize content visibility through platform best practices and trends Monitor campaign and content performance Use insights to refine strategy and improve engagement and reach.
Skills & Attributes for success
Strong grasp of Kannada language and culture: Native-level proficiency in Kannada (read/write/speak) with strong English skills; excellent understanding of Kannada pop culture and the creator/meme ecosystem. Independent and innovative thinker, with ability to deal with complex data & creative problem solving. Ability to deal with rapid change and navigate in a complex matrix org environment. Strong interest in current culture and new media trends, including other entertainment platforms. Excellent project management and stakeholder skills
Preferred Education & Experience
MBA in Marketing/Media/Communications/Analytics. 6+ years in social/digital marketing with at least 3 years owning brand handles; TV/OTT/entertainment experience is a strong plus. Proven influencer/meme marketing track record. Hands-on with Meta Business Suite/Ads Manager, Google Ads & YouTube Studio, X Ads, ShareChat/Moj/Josh brand tools, and social-listening platforms (e.g., Sprinklr, Talkwalker); solid Excel/Sheets/Data Studio skills. Data-driven: fluent in funnel metrics (reach, frequency, VTR, CPV, CPM, CPC, CPA, ROAS) and experiment design.
