Senior Creative Content Writer, K12
Description
Cialfo is a leading platform connecting students, higher education institutions, and counselors through technology-driven solutions. Launched in 2017 with a mission to make education accessible to 100 million students, Cialfo provides a range of mobile and web solutions to students, K-12 institutions, and higher education institutions. We’re one of the fastest-growing tech startups in the region, consistently charting new heights! About this role We are looking for a seasoned Senior Creative Content Writer based in New Delhi, India, to own the written voice of Cialfo & BridgeU across our most important content channels. This is a hands-on IC role for someone who has spent years sharpening their craft — and who brings both the writing fundamentals and the strategic content thinking to work independently at a high level. You will lead content production across newsletters, social media, research reports, surveys, and campaign copy — blending storytelling, audience empathy, and editorial discipline to create content that people actually want to read. You will also take ownership of content planning, research-led insight development, and cross-functional collaboration with design and marketing teams. Your words will reach millions of students, counselors, educators, and institutions globally. We need someone who treats every piece of content as an opportunity to build trust, drive action, and reflect the Cialfo brand with precision and warmth. What you will be doing Core writing and content production Own and produce high-quality content across all key formats: newsletters, social media (LinkedIn-first), research reports, surveys, campaign copy, landing pages, and long-form editorial pieces. Translate complex ideas — about international education, counseling workflows, student recruitment, and platform capabilities — into clear, compelling narratives for diverse audiences including students, counselors, institutions, and partners. Maintain and evolve Cialfo's brand voice, tone, and messaging standards across all written outputs, serving as a writing quality benchmark for the wider team. Develop content independently from brief to publication: outlines, drafts, revisions, final edits, and delivery — without requiring close supervision. Research and insight development Lead market and audience research to surface content themes, angles, and messaging opportunities. Track trends across international education, counseling workflows, student recruitment, and competitor positioning — and translate them into publish-ready content formats. Design and write surveys with clear intent, logical question flow, and actionable output in mind. Convert raw data and research findings into insights-led content: reports, newsletter sections, social posts, and campaign narratives. Content planning and editorial ownership Own monthly and quarterly content planning aligned to business and campaign priorities, contributing strategic input — not just execution. Maintain a content calendar and editorial workflow that ensures consistency, quality, and reduced last-minute scramble across the team. Identify content gaps and proactively propose new formats, series, or angles that serve Cialfo's audience and business objectives. Collaboration and editorial leadership Collaborate closely with designers to produce cohesive content and visuals for newsletters, social creatives, and reports — providing clean, structured copy built to be designed around. Mentor and provide editorial direction to junior writers or content contributors where required. Partner with cross-functional teams — product, sales, partnerships — to develop content that supports the full business, not just the marketing funnel. SEO and content best practices Write with SEO fundamentals embedded: keyword intent, heading structure, internal linking, and readability — particularly for blogs and landing pages. Audit and optimise existing content for clarity, structure, and performance without sacrificing voice or reader experience.
About you
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or a related field — or equivalent demonstrated experience. Experience 8+ years of experience in content writing, content marketing, editorial, journalism, or brand storytelling in a professional environment. A portfolio demonstrating senior-level writing range across multiple formats — newsletters, research-led reports, social content, long-form editorial, and campaign copy (mandatory — applications without a portfolio or writing samples will not be reviewed). Proven track record of independently owning content output from strategy through to publication, without requiring close direction. Demonstrated experience writing for multiple distinct audience segments within a single brand voice. Strong background in research-led and insights-driven content — not just execution of given briefs. Experience collaborating with and influencing design and cross-functional teams on content-led campaigns. Experience in a fast-paced startup or agency environment with multiple concurrent stakeholders strongly preferred. Skills & qualities Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills — with the ability to self-edit ruthlessly and maintain quality under deadline pressure. Deep command of content structure: flow, scannability, hierarchy, and the discipline to know what to cut. Strong research skills and the ability to synthesise complex information into clear, audience-appropriate insights. Sharp content judgment: knows what to prioritise, what to simplify, and what angle will land with a given audience. Solid understanding of SEO best practices and content optimisation, applied naturally rather than formulaically. Strong verbal and written English communication skills — able to present and defend content decisions to non-content stakeholders. Comfortable managing multiple projects at different stages simultaneously, consistently meeting deadlines without sacrificing quality. Mindset Curious, proactive, and genuinely audience-obsessed — writes for readers, not search engines or internal approval. Highly organised and dependable: owns the workflow, doesn't wait to be chased. Comfortable balancing creative ambition with business context and commercial objectives. Thinks in content systems, not one-off posts — interested in building something that scales. Good to have Deep familiarity with international education, EdTech, student recruitment, or K-12 counseling — and the ability to write with credibility for these audiences. Experience designing and writing research reports and surveys with genuine insight-generation intent. Proficiency with tools such as Notion, Google Workspace, Canva, and basic content performance platforms. An MBA in Marketing or Business Administration is a nice-to-have, not a requirement.
