Department Overview The Software Enterprise Deployment and Integration team is the team that delivers solutions to the public safety sector. We are committed to providing technology and tools which will allow customers to focus on their mission, and enable them to respond faster with smarter and safer decisions. We deploy and support products such as Computer Aided Dispatch, Records Management Systems, Jail Management Systems and Mobile Data Computing, among other offerings Job Description The Applications Specialist is responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of business-critical software. This role involves troubleshooting technical issues, training staff on best practices, and collaborating with IT teams to ensure applications meet the evolving needs of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
System Administration
Oversee the day-to-day performance of specific software applications; manage user permissions and system updates.
Troubleshooting & Support
Act as the Tier 2/3 point of contact for complex technical issues that standard help desks cannot resolve.
Process Improvement
Analyze how teams use software and recommend workflows to increase efficiency.
Training & Documentation
Create user manuals, FAQs, and conduct training sessions to ensure high user adoption rates.
Implementation
Lead or assist in the rollout of new software modules, including data migration and system testing.
Liaison
Work as the middleman between end-users and software vendors or internal developers to report bugs and request features.
Technical Proficiencies
Platform Expertise
Deep knowledge of specific systems (e.g., Salesforce, SAP, Epic, AutoCAD, or Microsoft Dynamics).
Data Management
Proficiency in SQL for querying databases or Excel for advanced data manipulation.
Integration
Understanding of APIs and how different software systems "talk" to one another.

Target Base Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,0000 Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity.
