Sales Director, Insurance
Description
We are seeking a Sales Hunter to drive net new business in the Insurance vertical. This role is focused on acquiring new clients and expanding Brillio’s footprint in the Life, P&C, Specialty Insurance domains. The ideal candidate will combine strong sales acumen with deep insurance domain knowledge to position Brillio’s digital transformation services effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Hunting & Acquisition
Drive net new client acquisition (80%) and growth in dormant/existing accounts (20%). Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for Insurance vertical.
Sales Strategy & Execution
Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for Insurance domain offerings. Build and maintain a robust pipeline through lead generation, prospecting, and networking. Manage end-to-end sales cycle: prospecting, presentations, RFI/RFP responses, negotiations, and deal closure.
Client Engagement
Establish and nurture relationships with CxO-level executives at target insurance firms. Act as a trusted advisor, leveraging domain expertise to position Brillio’s solutions.
Collaboration & Enablement
Work closely with presales, delivery, and practice teams to craft compelling proposals. Partner with BFSI leadership to create IP, solutions, and thought leadership in Insurance.
Desired Skills & Experience
Sales Expertise
12–15+ years of experience in IT services sales, with a proven track record in hunting new business. Demonstrated success in selling Digital Transformation , Cloud , Data Analytics , and Product Engineering services.
Domain Knowledge
Strong understanding of Insurance industry (Life, P&C, Specialty), Insurtech trends, regulatory landscape, and emerging models like embedded insurance and usage-based insurance. Familiarity with platforms like Guidewire and Duck Creek is a plus. Hunting mindset and evidence of client acquisition is a major qualifier. Experience working in IT services and consulting is a must.
Other Requirements
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to manage complex sales cycles (6–12 months) and multi-stakeholder negotiations. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology. MBA is preferred.
