Description
Saronic Technologies is a leader in revolutionizing autonomy at sea, dedicated to developing state-of-the-art solutions that enhance maritime operations through autonomous and intelligent platforms.
Job Overview Saronic is seeking an Electrical CAD Administrator responsible for owning and maintaining the electrical CAD and PLM systems that support EWIS design, drafting, and production. This role ensures the accuracy, consistency, and scalability of electrical design data across CAD tools and product lifecycle systems. The Electrical CAD Administrator works closely with EWIS engineers, electrical draftsmen, manufacturing, and configuration management to maintain clean libraries, enforce standards, and improve ECAD workflows. This position requires strong experience with enterprise ECAD systems (such as Zuken E3 or equivalent), CAD-integrated PLM systems (such as Teamcenter or equivalent), and a deep understanding of electrical documentation, configuration control, and data integrity in a production environment.
Responsibilities & Duties Administer and maintain electrical CAD libraries and systems (currently Zuken E3 or equivalent), including symbols, components, attributes, and templates. Serve as the primary ECAD support resource and Super User, acting as the first point of contact for ECAD-related questions, troubleshooting, and best practices. Own library versioning and ensure required updates are reviewed, approved, and pushed to active projects. Maintain and enforce ECAD library standards and submission processes. Support ECAD onboarding and training for engineers and draftsmen, including Saronic-specific processes and workflows. Administer electrical CAD data within a PLM system (currently Teamcenter or equivalent), ensuring proper revision control, release status, and traceability. Coordinate with PLM, configuration management, and compliance teams to support controlled data release and program requirements. Act as a technical liaison between Saronic and ECAD/PLM software vendors as needed. Conduct periodic audits of ECAD libraries and released data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and downstream usability. Support cleanup, refactoring, and migration of legacy ECAD data as tools, standards, and processes evolve. Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and sustainment teams to ensure electrical design data supports production and long-term maintenance.
Qualifications & Skills 5+ years of experience in ECAD administration, electrical drafting support, or configuration management. Hands-on experience with an enterprise ECAD platform such as Zuken E3, Siemens Capital, Mentor Graphics, Altium, or similar. Experience supporting electrical or electromechanical components within CAD environments such as Siemens NX or equivalent systems. Working knowledge of PLM/PDM systems such as Teamcenter, Windchill, ENOVIA, or equivalent. Strong understanding of electrical documentation, library management, and configuration control. Ability to develop, enforce, and improve CAD standards, templates, and workflows. Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality and accuracy.
