About the Role
This role will be responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting, ensuring integrity of books, strong controls, and effective financial governance. The role acts as a bridge between transactional accounting and financial reporting, supporting both statutory and management reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee financial audits, statutory audits, internal audits, and regulatory reporting requirements for multiple entities. Ensure balance sheet integrity through regular review and substantiation. Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with agreed timelines. Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (IFRS) and draft whitepapers on various technical accounting topics. Act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders including FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and Business teams. Drive timely resolution of audit observations and control gaps. Ensure timely closure of open items and perform root-cause analysis for recurring issues. Maintain robust documentation for processes, controls, and accounting policies. Manage intercompany accounting, certain key reconciliations, and eliminations. Support group consolidation activities of multiple entities worldwide. Coordinate with global finance teams to ensure alignment and accuracy. Identify opportunities to standardize, simplify, and automate Record-to-Report processes. Support ERP upgrades or system migrations (e.g., NetSuite). Partner with upstream (P2P, O2C) teams to resolve data or process issues impacting financial reporting.
Requirements
Strong understanding of end-to-end Record-to-Report and financial reporting processes. Solid accounting knowledge (India GAAP / US GAAP / IFRS). Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred). High attention to detail with ability to see the bigger picture. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Clear communication and stakeholder management skills. Continuous improvement mindset. Chartered Accountant / CPA. 8–10+ years of experience with public accounting, financial reporting, accounting, or controllership roles. Experience in technology, payments, financial services, or fintech preferred. Experience in multinational and multi-entity environments preferred. Exposure to audits and regulatory reporting.
