Description

We’re Tovala, a food-tech company reinventing home cooking to save consumers time. Through an innovative combination of hardware, software, and fresh food delivery, we make it incredibly simple for anyone to prepare and enjoy delicious, home-cooked meals without sacrificing time to do whatever matters to them. Through our superior technology, product experience and food quality, we have separated Tovala from the busy pack of other meal delivery businesses. In the process, we’ve amassed a loyal, rapidly growing following and our retention, product engagement and customer NPS are all best-in-class. We’ve raised over $100mm from great investors like Left Lane Capital, Origin Ventures, Y Combinator and Comcast Ventures and have invested strongly in building a unique culture that fosters growth, personal development and camaraderie.

We’re looking for a Senior Manager, People Partner (Manufacturing & CS) to lead talent / HR support for our Manufacturing and Customer Support teams. This role reports into our Chief People Officer, and oversees a team of three HRBPs while working closely with our Chief Manufacturing Officer and other leaders. This is a high-impact hands-on role for someone who likes being close to the work – building strong relationships, occasionally navigating tough situations, and making our plants and CS team(s) the best place to work. This is a great role for a People leader with strong judgment, flawless follow-through, and the emotional intelligence to handle difficult issues with care and clarity. You’ll need to be comfortable balancing hands-on, in-the-weeds problem-solving with helping your team and our managers (and therefore the company at large) grow stronger over time.

Location: Chicago or Western Suburbs (must be willing to commute to both facilities in the South Side of Chicago and in Carol Stream, IL)
