Must-Have Requirements
- ✓Degree or master's in Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or equivalent with 5+ years relevant experience
- ✓Proven experience in Industrial IoT and digital engineering
- ✓OT to IT integration knowledge including DCS, sensors, and industrial data collection
- ✓Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic engineering design
- ✓Strong technical skills with communication protocols (RS 232, TCP/IP, Modbus TCP, Profibus DP, Ethernet IP, OPC UA, MQTT)
- ✓Experience with Studio 5000, TIA Portal and TwinCAT
- ✓Experience testing and commissioning industrial control systems
- ✓Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish

Technical Leadership
Oversee and approve the development of IIoT systems, ensuring robust design and functionality aligned with Weir’s NEXT Intelligent digital solutions. Daily activities include system testing, troubleshooting, and providing level 3 technical support both remotely and onsite. Success is measured by seamless deployments and high customer satisfaction. ⦿
Implementation & Support
Lead installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of digital IIoT solutions at customer sites, coordinating closely with regional engineers and customers. Regular travel is required to support field operations. ⦿
Automation & Integration
Design and configure electrical automation cabinets and electromechanical solutions, utilizing expertise in PLC, DCS, SCADA, and industrial communication protocols. Ensure effective IT/OT integration for customer DCS systems. ⦿
Collaboration & Communication
Engage proactively with internal teams, customers, and contractors to implement digital solutions effectively. Mentor team members and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. ⦿

Must-haves
⦿ Degree or master’s in Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or equivalent with 5+ years of relevant experience. ⦿ Proven experience in Industrial IoT, digital engineering, and OT to IT integration, including knowledge of DCS, sensors, and industrial data collection. ⦿ Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic engineering design. ⦿ Strong technical skills with communication protocols (RS 232, TCP/IP, Modbus TCP, Profibus DP, Ethernet IP, OPC UA, MQTT). ⦿ E xperience in configuration of system networks, and experience with Studio 5000, TIA Portal and TwinCAT, testing / commissioning industrial control systems . ⦿ E xperience supporting testing and commissioning industrial control systems including field communication buses, control programs and development environments for programming, diagnostics and configuration. ⦿ Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish , with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global, distributed team environment.
