Description
The Role We Need
PadSplit is hiring a Senior Product Designer to accelerate growth on the supply side of our two-sided marketplace. This role will shape how property owners discover PadSplit, understand our value, and seamlessly onboard their homes so they can start earning quickly and confidently. You’ll play a central part in designing a frictionless, human, and scalable host experience.
The Person We Are Looking For
We’re looking for a senior-level designer who blends product intuition, growth-minded experimentation, and deep empathy for users. You thrive in complex systems, move fluidly between big-picture architecture and pixel-level detail, and can clearly tie design decisions to business outcomes. Above all, you are authentic, collaborative, and energized by solving meaningful problems.
Here’s What You’ll Be Doing Day-to-Day
Design Host Funnel – Create and refine pages, flows, and experiments that convert curious owners into successful hosts. Own Onboarding – Simplify property setup, pricing configuration, and listing preparation to ensure hosts launch quickly. Humanize Complexity – Make topics like compliance, property rules, and earnings feel clear, warm, and approachable. Conduct Research – Interview, observe, and gather insights from hosts to translate real needs into stronger UX. Experiment Rapidly – Run landing page tests, funnel optimizations, and A/B experiments with growth and product partners. Collaborate Cross-Functionally – Work closely with PMs, engineers, marketers, and data analysts to deliver cohesive solutions. Craft High-Quality UI – Build responsive, polished interfaces in Figma using thoughtful components and interaction patterns. Build AI-Infused Experiences – Prototype and design intelligent workflows and AI-powered features alongside our ML/AI teams.
Here’s What You’ll Need to Be Successful
Proven Experience – 4+ years designing digital products, ideally with complex acquisition funnels or marketplace environments. Deep UX Skills – Strong research abilities and comfort engaging directly with users to uncover pain points and opportunities. Business Fluency – Ability to connect design decisions to metrics, revenue, and real estate economics like rent, ROI, and occupancy. Workflow Mastery – Experience designing multi-step processes, complex service environments, and edge-case-heavy workflows. UI Excellence – Expertise in Figma and interaction design across web and mobile, with strong systems thinking and component reuse. Data Orientation – Familiarity with A/B testing, experimentation frameworks, and interpreting both qual and quant insights. AI Capability – Demonstrated experience designing AI-powered features and leveraging modern AI tools in your design practice. Authentic Collaboration – A humble, kind, curious, and mission-driven approach that elevates the team and the user experience.
The Interview Process
NO BOTS HERE: your resume will be reviewed by live humans from PeopleOps and the hiring manager, our Head of Design. If we’re interested, the next step would be a video screen with a member of the PeopleOps team for about thirty (30) minutes. If warranted, the next steps would be a video interview with hiring manager for one (1) hour. If warranted, the next step would be a portfolio review with key Design stakeholders at PadSplit for one (1) hour. If warranted, the final step would be a video panel interview with key stakeholders at PadSplit for one-and-a-half (1.5) hours. The panel interview will require a candidate to work on a design assessment where you will showcase your design skills to the panel for discussion. If warranted, then we move to offer!
