Responsibilities

Training Systems, Labs, & Equipment Readiness Set up, configure, and maintain training hardware, software, and diagnostic tools prior to training events. Ensure training systems and simulators reflect current configurations compliant with production standards and product releases. Test and validate functionality of equipment used in live and practical training environments. Troubleshoot technical issues quickly to minimize disruptions during training sessions. Training Delivery Support Provide on-site technical support for instructors and trainees during classroom, workshop, and hands-on training events. Operate and support AV technology, connectivity, virtual-classroom tools, and LMS tools during live and hybrid sessions. Assist with practical setups for simulations, demonstrations, and equipment exercises. Serve as first-line technical contact for training participants experiencing technical issues. Training Material Alignment & Version Control Ensure training materials, software builds, and hardware configurations align with live systems and current product baselines; communicate discrepancies to instructional teams. Assist in updating reference documentation when technical changes to equipment or software occur. Support Training Improvement Specialists in maintaining up-to-date training references, SOPs, and asset inventories. Cross-Functional Coordination Collaborate with Engineering, Software, Mission Operations, and Product Delivery teams to understand product updates and technical nuances affecting training. Support knowledge transfer from development teams to training teams prior to new product rollouts. Communicate configuration issues and support resolution paths to relevant stakeholders. Training Event Logistics & Reporting Assist with training event setup and teardown logistics (classrooms, labs, training vessels, vehicles). Maintain training equipment inventory and track usage, repairs, and calibration schedules. Provide post-event reporting on technical issues, equipment performance, and improvement recommendations.

Required Qualifications

Technical associate or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering Technology, or related technical field (or equivalent experience). Demonstrated experience supporting advanced technical systems in a hands-on environment. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with hardware, software, and networked systems. Ability to read technical documentation, installation guides, diagrams, and product manuals. Excellent communication skills and ability to work with technical and non-technical audiences. Comfortable in dynamic training environments with rapid setup and change.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in support of live training environments, mission operations, simulation labs, or field training. Familiarity with autonomous systems, maritime systems, or complex hardware configurations. Prior experience with LMS tools, AV support equipment, and training delivery support. Experience with DoD, defense contractor, or regulated industry environments.

Physical Demands

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment. Lifting and carrying items up to 20 pounds occasionally. Ability to work in varying environmental conditions including shipyards, fabrication spaces, and onboard vessels.
