Specialization Power BI Development: BI Specialist

Job requirements We are seeking a skilled Microsoft BI Developer with strong expertise in Power BI, SSRS, and SSIS to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level data integration and reporting solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in ETL development, data modeling, and dashboard/report creation using Microsoft BI tools. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities ETL & Data Integration (SSIS) • Design, develop, and deploy SSIS packages for data extraction, transformation, and loading. • Implement incremental loads, error handling, logging, and performance tuning. • Integrate data from multiple sources such as SQL Server, Excel, flat files, and APIs. • Schedule and monitor ETL jobs using SQL Server Agent. • Ensure data quality and consistency across systems. ________________________________________ Reporting (SSRS) • Develop and maintain SSRS reports including tabular, matrix, drill-down, and parameterized reports. • Create paginated reports for operational and financial reporting. • Configure report subscriptions and automated report delivery. • Implement report security and manage deployment across environments. • Optimize report performance and dataset queries. ________________________________________ Data Visualization & Analytics (Power BI) • Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI. • Create complex DAX measures and calculated columns. • Develop optimized data models using star schema and best practices. • Implement Row-Level Security (RLS). • Publish and manage reports in Power BI Service. • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements. ________________________________________ Required Technical Skills • Strong expertise in Power BI (Desktop & Service) • Hands-on experience with SSIS and SSRS • Advanced knowledge of T-SQL (joins, CTEs, stored procedures, indexing, window functions) • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts (Star Schema, Fact/Dimension modeling) • Experience with SQL Server database management • Performance tuning and query optimization skills ________________________________________ Preferred / Good to Have • Experience with Azure Data Factory or Azure SQL • Exposure to SSAS (Tabular/Multidimensional) • Knowledge of DevOps / CI-CD deployment • Experience in Agile development environment • Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell or Python) ________________________________________ Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. • 4+ years of experience in Microsoft BI stack development.
