Position Description
We are looking for a Construction Manager to join our Construction Team in our Tampa office and project work in Manatee County. Candidates must have a high school diploma, bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field and at least ten years' experience.
Typical Responsibilities Include
Act as the on-site liaison with the client and community Maintain excellent client relations Conduct field inspections Coordinate and communicate with contractors regarding construction project activity Mentor junior staff Responsible for project proposal development including positioning, approach, preparation and pricing Responsible for project execution including scope, schedule and budget Manage resources to successfully deliver project to client on time and under budget while meeting or exceeding client expectations Provide design/technical expertise to project Coordinate the design function with various team members on the project Ensure employees have knowledge and tools to complete tasks Generate additional sales through business development activities Supervise project review (QA/QC) meetings Assist with project reports and technical presentations Attend client, staff and project meetings Estimate fees, review project plans and specifications Maintain a safe working environment
Education
High school diploma Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field is preferred or equivalent experience 10+ years of related engineering or construction management experience
Skills
This position should have strong people and team building skills in order to effectively communicate with clients and other staff. This person should also be highly motivated, organized, and able to interpret technical data and perform technical writing. This position requires exceptional interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience in networking within the consultant and client communities.
