Base salaries are determined during our interview process, by assessing a candidate’s experience, skills against internal peers and against the scope and responsibilities of the position. Position Summary The Maintenance Supervisor (Bottling or Finished Goods) at Hiram Walker & Sons Limited is responsible for leading and supervising a team of skilled trades employees. With safety as a core priority, this role reinforces HWSL’s vision of world-class maintenance by emphasizing quality workmanship, efficient execution of work, and effective management of internal customer expectations. HWSL is committed to excellence in quality, health and safety, environmental stewardship, and product safety. Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities Ensure full compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act (OHSA), including Sections 25, 26, 27, and 28, in accordance with HWSL policies for management, supervision, and worker safety. Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental, quality, and safety standards within the department. Support continuous improvement initiatives, including root cause analysis and corrective actions. Lead direct reports to meet or exceed cost-savings and productivity objectives. Support HACCP, GMP, and technical audit requirements. Foster open and effective communication with internal stakeholders to ensure optimal quality and operational outcomes. Ensure preventative maintenance programs are executed as planned and all work is accurately tracked. Provide technical support to drive process improvements and equipment reliability. Track, inspect, and validate trades work for completeness, maintaining accurate records within the CMMS work order system. Oversee emergency and breakdown repairs to ensure timely and effective resolution. Build and sustain a high-performing team by developing employee capabilities through coaching, training, and development opportunities. Manage professional and respectful relationships with union members and skilled trades personnel. Maintain zero non-conformance certification for ISO 9002. Manage financial accountability for Maintenance & Repair (M&R) and labour budgets. Required College Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

Preferred

Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Working knowledge of HACCP and GMP requirements Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Understanding of collective agreements and unionized environments Knowledge of manufacturing and bottling equipment Thorough understanding of applicable health and safety regulations High competency in critical thinking, customer focus, team building, influencing, and collaboration Ability to think strategically, with a “big picture” mindset and a focus on continuous improvement and innovation Financial Responsibility Participates in goal setting and accountable for own, limited budget for asset administration and goals.
