Position Summary

Under direction from the Regulatory Manager, this role will support international cosmetic registrations and market requests. This role will establish comprehensive regulatory overviews for cosmetics; as well documenting processes to complete each phase of notification and registration. This role also supports regulatory across product development, claims review, registration, packaging compliance, EPR and sustainability. Must be highly collaborative with a high-performance team mindset and work seamlessly across business functions and external partners.

Responsibilities

Support product registration and notification for all e.l.f. Beauty brands, interfacing with India, GCC, EU, UK, Australia and Mexico partners. This includes creating, reviewing and submitting required documentation, tracking registration status and timelines, as well as identifying efficiencies within each process. Collaborate with consultants, distributors and manufacturers to ensure all compliance requirements are met and registrations/notifications are completed according to brand timelines. Assist Regulatory Manager with gathering information on upcoming cosmetic, OTC and packaging related regulations, and collaborating cross-functionally to execute actions needed. Assist with registration and reporting needs for Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR). Assist with Regulatory related questions from retailers regarding e.l.f. Beauty products Assist with monitoring new regulations and amendments; participate in trade association committees.

Requirements

1-3 years’ experience in the cosmetic industry in a Regulatory Affairs role. A science background (BS degree or higher) is required. Understanding and working knowledge of Cosmetics products regulatory requirements with an emphasis on color cosmetics and skin care, inclusive of ingredient, labeling, notification/registration, product claims, and packaging requirements. Conversant in the international Regulatory framework requirements for ingredients, finished products, claims, packaging, and artwork requirements. Highly collaborative. Works well individually and in a team environment to achieve results that move the business forward. Excellent organizational skills. Exhibits strong communication skills, both written and orally. Comfortable learning and working with web-based databases and submission portals. Excellent computer skills including, Microsoft Excel, Word, Adobe and PowerPoint. Must be self-motivated and be capable of multi-tasking.
